Starting a sustainable swimwear brand has been one of the most exhilarating—and humbling—journeys of my life. From the first spark of inspiration, I knew I was creating something more than just a business. I wanted to design a brand that would not only challenge the status quo of fashion but also contribute something meaningful to our planet. It’s been a wild ride, and while every step has brought its fair share of challenges, each one has only solidified my belief in the power of resilience and purpose.

Building this brand from the ground up, I’ve learned that the real beauty of starting from scratch is in the journey itself. Each small victory, whether it’s discovering the perfect sustainable fabric or hitting a new milestone in our community, feels like a chapter in a story I’m proud to tell. Sourcing eco-friendly materials has been one of the toughest puzzles to crack. It’s not just about finding something that feels right—it’s about finding something that performs, lasts, and leaves as little impact as possible. But when you find that perfect fabric, the sense of accomplishment is nothing short of electric.

Marketing, too, has been a thrilling learning curve. The stakes can feel high, and yes, there have been moments where I’ve felt like I was throwing spaghetti at the wall. I’ve made mistakes—so many mistakes—but in hindsight, I see that each one has sharpened my ability to be more resourceful and strategic. From navigating press opportunities that promised the world to learning how to make every marketing dollar count, I’ve found creative ways to connect with our community. And what a community it is. The partnerships I’ve built with like-minded women have been a reminder that this journey is about so much more than just creating products. We’re creating a movement—a shared mission that transcends any single collection.

Of course, there’s the delicate balancing act of life. Being a mother of two, managing a 9-to-5, and building a business is a test of every ounce of stamina and patience I have. Some days, it feels like I’m juggling flaming swords while walking a tightrope, but somehow, I’m still standing. And I’m grateful for it. It’s taught me the power of discipline, the importance of flexibility, and, above all, the strength that comes from resilience. I’ve come to cherish the small wins—the moments when everything clicks and even the tiniest progress feels monumental.

I’ll be honest: the self-doubt creeps in more often than I’d like to admit. There have been times when I’ve wondered if I’m truly capable of showing up as the face of this brand. But as my mother always said, “Feel the fear and do it anyway.” So here I am—unapologetically me, showing up for Revivre.

None of this would be possible without the incredible community that has rallied around us. From friends and mentors to strangers who discover us for the first time and instantly feel at home—Revivre has grown into something far beyond what I imagined. It’s a tribe, a movement, and a reflection of everything I believe in. I’m deeply proud of how far we’ve come, and I’m excited for what’s next. For anyone starting out on their own entrepreneurial journey, my advice is simple: invest in a mentor. Find someone who knows the ropes and can guide you through the minefield of factories, suppliers, and design strategies.

Together, we’re creating a brand that stands for so much more than just swimwear—it stands for sustainability, quality, and an unwavering commitment to community. I’ve had the privilege of connecting with incredible individuals who share this vision, and together, we’re not just building a brand, we’re making a lasting impact. The road may not always be easy, but with purpose driving every decision, it’s all worth it. One swimsuit at a time, we’re crafting something that will endure. And I couldn’t be more thrilled for the journey ahead.
